Dr. Timothy Busey is an experienced optometrist qualified to diagnose and treat eye conditions, and a dedicated member of his community. Learn more below.

Dr. Busey grew up in Georgetown, IL, and graduated from Hope Christian High School in Danville, IL. Early in his career, he knew he wanted to be in the medical field.

He then attended Millikin University where he studied pre-med, then attended Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL, where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree. While in Chicago he had the opportunity to do an externship at the Ft. Sheridan Army base.

Presently Dr. Busey resides in the Decatur, IL area with his wife, Debra, and children, Brandon and Jacob. His daughter Kelly lives in Champaign, IL where she is a student. He has been seeing patients in the Decatur area for almost 25 years. He provides eye care for the entire family, including contacts and diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, with experience providing pre- and post-operative cataract examinations. Dr. Busey is DPA and TPA certified which allows for the diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions.

In his free time, Dr. Busey enjoys running and has completed several Marathons. Dr. Busey is a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Decatur where he serves as a Sunday School teacher and is currently a deacon. He enjoys going on Mission trips with his church and has been to China, Africa, and recently Alaska. He is a member of the Illinois Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
